and is it not extortion if you pay them to hold a truce ? and would it be fair if they lied and started killing you, making it impossable to get anywhere or even leave the station you were at when the war started?
I stopped reading this thread when we got to arguing the definiion of griefing. Eve is a violent & brutal game, some of us play Eve just for that reason. All of what you described is legitimate in Eve. Extortion, scamming, murder, spying, theft. All these things happen everyday here.
You got wardecced by I imagine a far superior enemy. I'll assume you don't have enough allies or friends to tip the balance and nor do you have the ISK to hire mercs. Off the cuff I can think of the following options for you:
1) Log-off for a few weeks or quit Eve. Nah, don't be silly. This is a game and it's here to be played. Ok, got that out of the way.
2) Fight. Use cheap ships and swarm them. This could be sucessful, or not. Either way try to have fun with it and keep your clone updated.
3) Run. You can't get out of the station but you can get out of the corp. Quit the corp and stay in an NPC corp. Create a passworded chat channel for your old corp mates and as long as you stay in high sec you'll be fine. NPC corps can't be wardecced. Sucks I know but at least you'll be able to fly and do stuff. You can always reform when you have found your feet and can protect yourselves better.
4) Join an alliance or merge with a larger corp for protection.
5) Wait them out. Do some region wide trading and set courier missions or use an alt to move stuff around. When you are camped in a station it can be very satisfying to find out just how much ISK you can make without undocking. Add some trade skills to this mix and it can be a real chuckle. Try to resist the urge to smack in local.
Don't cave in, they won't want to pay the war fees forever. Especially if they can't make any money off looting your ships.
Good luck and welcome to Eve.
